Davidson

Alle Davidson is a multidisciplinary artist living on Bundjalung Country, Australia. She grew up in a quiet valley on Kombumerri Country, under the sentry watch of The Cougals, Tallebudgera and Springbrook Mountains. It is there that Alle found her art practice. She paints to tell her story; she paints for grief, for shifting light and always, for hope.
Alle’s work is a love song to place, belonging and self. It’s an atmospheric journey that sits so often in a familiar mountain cradle in her mind; the ridgeline, like her breath, where she will always return. Her practice offers an unfolding study on her relationship to meaning and mythology, and all that she finds sacred and reassuring here.
Alle gently gives thanks to the ancient and ongoing custodians of country who have held it with love and shown the way. She continues her dedication to using reclaimed materials wherever possible and will always find depth to her process in the careful fossicking and use of found organic matter and pigments.
